Photography Basics

Over time, I've become aware of a marketing problem that seems to be common among the creative folks who make and engrave guns. While many of them turn out fantastic work, most of them either haven't learned how, or aren't interested in photography. Because of this, the only exposure they receive is at shows where they display. Worse, only the client may ever see some of these masterpieces.

There are quite a few good reasons to make a photographic record of the guns you make or collect: Advertising, posterity, your website, insurance, inclusion in blogs, magazine article submissions, etc.

Book front cover

I've spent 15 years experimenting, trying to find the best/simplest/cheapest way to take good photos of gunwork, and now have found a way to pass that knowledge on. The booklet is 6" x 9", and staple bound. The information within will prepare you to take good, professional photos, and to prepare them for publication. Photoshop basics are covered.

The second half of the booklet contains a materials list and instructions for building a simple and inexpensive workshop studio.
